The Ramblings of an Ecchi Otaku

Thanks to my awesome girlfriend, I was able to take part in the final Closed Beta Test for Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second. I made preparations to record footage and test out the new Ragnarok Online 2, successor of Ragnarok Online.

Back-story:

Me and my girlfriend were avid Ragnarok Online players. It was because of Ragnarok Online that we met, got together and to this day been together. Yes you heard that right, we met in Ragnarok, became friends and escalated to being together for now 7 years. Pretty romantic right? Well, Ragnarok holds a special place for me, but due to its age and recent balancing/re-design, I have given up on Ragnarok Online. But when I heard that Gravity started on a project to create Ragnarok Online 2 around 2006, I got really excited and jumped for joy.

Finally in 2007, they released Ragnarok Online 2: Gate of the World in Korea. I was able to partake in their Open Beta and test the new Ragnarok Online. But sadly the game received poor reviews and internal turmoil within Gravity in Korea wasn't helping in the development of Ragnarok Online 2. Eventually Ragnarok Online 2: Gate of the World seized to be around 2008.

Now Gravity is trying to re-release Ragnarok Online 2 but differently than when they first made RO2. This now brings me to what I'm covering this week: Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second. This is their second attempt at trying to release a sequel to the popular Ragnarok Online. Is there hope for the future of Gravity and Ragnarok Online?

I recorded some footage of the game so I could share them with other people who are interested in looking at what Ragnarok Online 2 has to offer. Do keep in mind its still in Closed Beta (this is the final closed beta), so the game is still being worked on and bugs are still being ironed out.
